Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. Who we are

These terms apply to Jebel Expeditions ("we", "us"), a travel and tour operator based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and to your use of this website and any trip you book with us. By using this website or making an enquiry, you accept these terms.

2. What this website is

This website describes the trips we run. It is not a booking system — there is no checkout, and nothing on it constitutes a binding offer. Trip details, itineraries, dates and prices shown here are indicative and may change before a booking is confirmed. Distances, altitudes and durations are published in good faith as accurate planning figures, but conditions on the ground vary.

3. Enquiries and bookings

All bookings begin with an enquiry by WhatsApp, email or phone. A booking exists only once we have confirmed it to you in writing and you have paid the deposit stated in that confirmation. Until both of those things have happened, no place is held for you and no contract exists between us.

Your written confirmation sets out the price, what is included, the payment schedule and the cancellation terms for your specific trip. Where anything in that confirmation differs from this page, the confirmation applies.

4. Prices and payment

Prices shown on this website are per person, in the currency stated, and are a guide only — the price for your trip is the one in your written confirmation. Unless your confirmation says otherwise, prices do not include international flights, visas, travel insurance, personal equipment, tips, or anything described as an optional extra.

Payment is arranged directly with us. We do not take card payments through this website and will never ask you to send card details, passwords or banking credentials by WhatsApp or email.

5. Cancellations and changes

The cancellation terms, deadlines and any refund due are set out in your written confirmation, and depend on the trip — a day experience and a three-week expedition with pre-paid permits are not comparable. Read that section of your confirmation before you pay the deposit, and ask us if anything in it is unclear.

We may have to change or cancel a trip. Reasons include weather, route or permit conditions, a safety assessment, or a departure not reaching its minimum group size. Where we cancel a trip, we will offer you an alternative date or trip, or a refund of what you have paid us. We are not responsible for costs you have incurred separately, such as flights booked yourself, which is why we ask you to hold travel insurance.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Fitness and health. You must tell us honestly about your fitness, and about any medical condition, medication or dietary requirement relevant to the trip, before you book. Some of our trips go to high altitude or into remote terrain where evacuation is slow.
  • Insurance. You must hold travel insurance that covers the activity, the altitude and the region of your trip, including medical treatment, evacuation and repatriation. We may ask to see it.
  • Documents. Passports, visas, permits and vaccinations are your responsibility. We will tell you what we know is needed, but we cannot be responsible for you being refused entry or boarding.
  • Conduct. Guides make the final call on safety, route and turnaround decisions. We may remove someone from a trip, without refund, whose behaviour puts themselves, the group or our staff at risk.

7. The nature of adventure travel

Our trips involve activity in mountains, deserts and remote areas. That carries risk that cannot be designed out — terrain, weather, altitude, wildlife and the limits of local medical care among them. Itineraries may change at short notice for exactly these reasons, and a change made for safety is not a failure to deliver the trip. By booking, you accept these risks as inherent to the trip you have chosen.

8. Liability

We are responsible for providing your trip with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, by your own acts or omissions, or by a third party unconnected with providing your trip. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Content on this website

The text, photographs and design on this website belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced commercially without our consent.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the date we confirmed it in writing.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
